Job Description

Responsible for shipping and receiving functions. This role assures all packages are received, packed appropriately, shipped appropriately and on schedule. Properly ships all supplies and medications according to procedures.

Job Responsibility

  • Inspects packages for accuracy, integrity and reports accordingly
  • Ensures all merchandise, supplies and shipping containers are ordered and restocked
  • Work within the required software application for proper documentation / receipt of deliveries
  • Reconciles open fulfillments prior to the end of day and arrival of shipping courier
  • Ensures all shipping department reports are generated and submitted in a timely manner
  • Supports medication distribution initiatives for the department
  • Performs other clerical duties as deemed fit by supervisor
  • Performs the loading and unloading of various stock and oversees the loading and unloading of deliveries
  • Prepares packages for shipping
  • Assures the shipping information is accurate and legible on shipping labels
  • Ensures all medications and prescriptions are packaged appropriately according to stability guidelines, cold chain requirements and shipped through the correct vendor and method

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • No experience required, experience in pharmacy, healthcare logistics, medical supply distribution, or regulated shipping environments is preferred
