Job Description

The Registered Nurse – Specialty Clinic provides direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed clinician. This role supports patient care in a community health setting by assisting providers, educating patients and families, and ensuring efficient clinic operations. The RN performs clinical duties with professionalism and minimal supervision.

Job Responsibility

  • Monitor patient flow and assist in maintaining efficient clinic operations
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to support patient care needs
  • Assess and triage patients to the appropriate department within the clinic
  • Obtain and document accurate health histories, including medication reconciliation
  • Administer medications via oral, intramuscular, subcutaneous, intradermal, and IV routes following nursing policies and procedures
  • Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens for diagnostic testing
  • Provide patient and family education on treatment plans, medications, and health management
  • Assist with procedures as directed by the provider
  • Maintain clinical competencies and adhere to quality and safety standards
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current and valid RN license from the state licensing board
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • 2 years of nursing experience in a specialty clinic (e.g., OBGYN, cardiology, orthopedics)

Nice to have

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Experience in a clinical outpatient setting
