The Registered Nurse – Specialty Clinic provides direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed clinician. This role supports patient care in a community health setting by assisting providers, educating patients and families, and ensuring efficient clinic operations. The RN performs clinical duties with professionalism and minimal supervision.
Job Responsibility:
Monitor patient flow and assist in maintaining efficient clinic operations
Collaborate with healthcare providers to support patient care needs
Assess and triage patients to the appropriate department within the clinic
Obtain and document accurate health histories, including medication reconciliation
Administer medications via oral, intramuscular, subcutaneous, intradermal, and IV routes following nursing policies and procedures
Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens for diagnostic testing
Provide patient and family education on treatment plans, medications, and health management
Assist with procedures as directed by the provider
Maintain clinical competencies and adhere to quality and safety standards
Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current and valid RN license from the state licensing board
Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
2 years of nursing experience in a specialty clinic (e.g., OBGYN, cardiology, orthopedics)
