Job Description:

The Specialized Analytics Sr. Mgr accomplishes results through the management of professional team(s) and department(s). This role involves leading data scientists, developing AI/ML models, ensuring governance frameworks, and delivering innovative solutions to meet business objectives.

Job Responsibility:

Lead a team of data scientists with primary responsibility of working on various tools and technologies for successful development and implementation of AI/Gen AI/ML models
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to a team of model developers
Establish governance frameworks for model development, deployment, and monitoring to meet MRM and Fair Lending guidelines
Continuously evaluate and improve model monitoring and governance processes
Oversee the end-to-end model development lifecycle from data collection and preprocessing to model building, validation, and deployment
Collaborate among multidisciplinary teams to drive innovation
Ensure models are developed and deployed in a timely manner with high quality and no errors

Requirements:

Minimum 10+ years of analytics experience in core model development using AI/Gen AI/ ML techniques
Sound knowledge of model development stages and industry best practices in real time deployment
Strong coding skill with experience working with Bigdata environments
Intellectual curiosity to stay abreast of technological and data sciences advances
Strong knowledge of the pros, cons, and usage of various ML / Deep Learning applications (such as Keras, TensorFlow, Python Scikit, etc.)
Strong knowledge of Python, SQL, and Big Data
Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance/engineering/quantitative Fields (Statistics, Mathematics)/MBA
Model execution and governance experience in AI/Gen AI/ML will be preferable
Proficient in proactive risk mitigation, manage project pipeline to ensure prioritization and required resourcing mix
At least 3 years of people management experience
Ownership and accountability of career progression, performance management, IDP, and conflict management
Successful candidate will have a demonstrable analytics problem-solving and ability to deliver projects in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong capability to influence business outcomes/decisions in collaboration with AIM leadership and business stakeholders
Strong coordination and project management skills
Must be able to define business requirements and create robust technical and process documentation to support activities

Nice to have:

Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and industry standards related to model governance and risk management, such as GDPR, CCPA, or Basel III
Strong understanding of MRM guidelines for AI/Gen AI/ML model approvals and ongoing model validation
Strong AI/Gen AI and ML concepts and understanding the pros and cons of AI/Gen AI/ML algorithms for better model selection
Knowledge of domain specific NLP applications and use cases across various business problems
