Job Description:

As a Data Science Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will lead the application of advanced data science techniques to enhance Citi's control environment. Operating as an individual contributor, you will leverage your deep expertise to drive innovation, develop cutting-edge solutions, and provide technical guidance to ensure the effective use of data and AI in risk and compliance processes. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role has a focus on control automation.

Job Responsibility:

Lead data analysis and modeling efforts to identify opportunities for improving control processes and mitigating risks
Develop and implement advanced machine learning and AI algorithms to automate tasks, enhance decision-making, and improve overall control effectiveness
Design and build innovative AI solutions using generative AI and agentic AI frameworks, specifically tailored for Control Automation
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in data science and control automation, providing technical guidance and mentorship to other team members
Evaluate new data sources, tools, and technologies to continuously improve the performance and capabilities of AI solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, technology partners, and control functions, to ensure alignment of data science initiatives with business objectives
Conduct rigorous testing and validation of AI models to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with regulatory requirements
Communicate complex technical concepts and findings to non-technical audiences, providing insights and recommendations to inform strategic decision-making
Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and AI, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation in control automation
Adhere to Citi's risk management policies and guidelines, ensuring that all data science activities are conducted in a responsible and ethical manner

Requirements:

6 to 9 years of relevant experience in data science, machine learning, or a related field
Process management skills, organized and detail-oriented
Curious about learning and developing new skill sets in artificial intelligence, particularly focusing on control automation
Positive outlook with a can-do mindset
Programming skills in Python and proficiency in relevant data science libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Transformers
Experience with statistical modeling techniques, including regression, classification, and clustering
Experience building GenAI solutions using LLMs and vector databases
Exposure to agentic AI frameworks, such as Langchain, Langraph, MLOps
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
Strong Logical Reasoning Capabilities, Willingness to learn new skills, Good Communication and presentation skills
Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, mathematics, or engineering
Master's degree preferred

Nice to have:

Experience building GenAI solutions using LLMs and vector databases
Exposure to agentic AI frameworks, such as Langchain, Langraph, MLOps
