Specialist Therapeutic Foster Carer

• Provide a warm, supportive, and trauma-informed home environment for a young person transitioning out of residential care
• offer the unwavering patience, structure, and emotional security required to help a child navigate early trauma and past disruption
• collaborate closely as a core practitioner within a highly skilled multi-disciplinary team to carefully plan every step of the child's transition
• foster independence, confidence, and self-esteem by accompanying the young person to school, social activities, and community milestones
• engage proactively with clinical psychologists, social workers, and educators to ensure a unified, caring approach to the young person's development

• A proven background within residential childcare, social work, child support, or education
• experience across CAMHS, therapeutic practices, nursing, youth justice, or specialist policing is highly valued
• past or present experience as a foster carer would be desirable but not essential
• emotional resilience, profound empathy, and a natural capacity to maintain a stable, nurturing home
• a full UK driving licence is preferred
