Job Responsibility
Provide a warm, supportive, and trauma-informed home environment for a young person transitioning out of residential care
Offer the unwavering patience, structure, and emotional security required to help a child navigate early trauma and past disruption
Collaborate closely as a core practitioner within a highly skilled multi-disciplinary team to carefully plan every step of the child's transition
Foster independence, confidence, and self-esteem by accompanying the young person to school, social activities, and community milestones
Engage proactively with clinical psychologists, social workers, and educators to ensure a unified, caring approach to the young person's development.
Requirements
Experience: A proven background within residential childcare, social work, child support, or education
Public Sector or Clinical Background: Experience across CAMHS, therapeutic practices, nursing, youth justice, or specialist policing is highly valued
Transferable Care: Past or present experience as a foster carer would be desirable but not essential
Core Attributes: Emotional resilience, profound empathy, and a natural capacity to maintain a stable, nurturing home
Driving: A full UK driving licence is preferred to support the young person's daily routine.
