Job Responsibility:
Academic Support: Adapting lesson materials to meet the sensory and cognitive needs of your students
Personal Care: Confidently managing toileting and changing requirements with dignity and respect
Physical Assistance: Utilising hoists and other mobility equipment to assist with transfers and positioning throughout the school day
Collaboration: Working closely with the Class Teacher, Occupational Therapists, and Physios to implement individual EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) goals
Requirements:
Proven experience in SEN, specifically supporting children with Physical Disabilities (PD) or Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
Current training in Manual Handling/Hoisting is essential
Reliability for a long-term, full-time position starting immediately
Enhanced DBS check is mandatory before starting the role
Follow all child protection procedures and undertake annual mandatory and statutory training
