Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Specialist TA to join our nationally recognised trust. In this rewarding role, you will work on a 1:1 basis with learners aged 5-16 with complex needs, autism (ASD), and associated behavioural or communication difficulties. Based in a modern, state-of-the-art day school with a maximum class size of 8, you will support students beyond academics-helping them develop socially, emotionally, and physically while building their self-esteem and independence.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for SEN learners with complex and multiple learning difficulties
  • Assist in managing behavioural, social, and emotional development in a classroom of no more than 8 students
  • Collaborate with teachers and therapy teams to create a safe, enabling, and engaging learning environment
  • Utilise the school's premium resources (from tech to outdoor spaces) to enhance student engagement

Requirements

  • GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/4 or equivalent)
  • Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, or Childcare Professional (must be able to provide references)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
