Requirements

2+ years of post-NQT teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
Understanding of how to work in a child-centred, holistic way
you will have the ingenuity and creativity to make the curriculum work in an individual, student-centred way
Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote/online jobs
Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

Job Responsibility

Develop strong relationships with children and young people who have a range of needs and who have often experienced significant difficulties in previous education settings
Provide in person, online/remote, and hybrid support to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 – KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring tailored to the young person’s needs, EHCP, and risk assessment
Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
