Job Description:

Join our specialist support worker team in Fife! Are you an experienced support worker or senior support worker passionate about supporting vulnerable children and young people? Do you have experience supporting those in crisis? Randstad is looking for dedicated individuals like you to make a real difference in our community. Providing 24/7 support to one young person

Job Responsibility:

Dedicate your experience and skills to support a teenager with autism and mental health issues
Provide day-to-day support including activities, appointments, and family contact (driver's licence and business insurance preferred)
Engage and encourage children or young people to participate in activities and establish structure
Provide accurate reports to support care plans and goals

Requirements:

Experience supporting children and young people in a residential setting
Confidence to de-escalate situations and work with colleagues during heightened behaviours
Prior CAMHS training desirable, but training will be provided
Ability to make decisions and take action in challenging situations
Strong communication and judgement skills
Creativity in engaging and building trust with children and young people
Commitment to maintaining personal and professional boundaries
Driver's licence and business insurance preferred
PVG or willing to support new application
Registered with relevant regulatory body
PMVA trained or willing to undergo training

Resilience in stressful situations and willingness to try new engagement strategies
