Job Description:

First Class Support provides academic support to students in receipt of disabled student allowance (DSA). We pride ourselves on only employing first class support specialists that are passionate about making a difference to the lives of people studying higher education courses across the U.K.

Job Responsibility:

Provide study skills support on a one to one basis with various students

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher
  • Able to communicate fluently/fluidly with individuals that are visually impaired
  • Provide study skills support on a one to one basis
  • Must possess one of the following qualifications: Advisory Teacher for Students with Vision Impairments, Advisory Teacher for Students with MultiSensory Impairments, PGCE* with additional qualification in a relevant subject, Other teaching qualifications at Level 4 and above (Certificate HE Teaching Toolkit, PGCTLHE, Diploma in Education & Training (DET), CTLLS, DTLLS), or QTS
  • Currently self-employed, or in the process of registering as a self-employed professional
  • Able to receive emails and phone calls when on location
  • Most experienced and qualified support workers
