Job Description:

First Class Support Provides academic support to students in receipt of disabled student allowance (DSA). We pride ourselves on only employing first class support specialists that are passionate about making a difference to the lives of people studying higher education courses across the U.K. Due to recent demand, we are looking to galvanise our team of highly qualified and experienced specialist support staff.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide academic support to students in receipt of disabled student allowance (DSA)
  • Provide study skills support on a one to one basis with various students

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher
  • Able to communicate fluently/fluidly with individuals that are deaf
  • Provide study skills support on a one to one basis
  • Must possess one of the following qualifications: Advisory Teacher for Deaf Students, Advisory Teacher for Students with MultiSensory Impairments, PGCE* and Registered Qualified BSL Interpreter, PGCE* plus specialist qualification in relevant subject (e.g., Deaf Studies, English, Linguistics, Deaf literacy specialist qualification, Deaf Awareness qualification)
  • Other teaching qualifications accepted at Level 4 and above (Certificate HE Teaching Toolkit, PGCTLHE, Diploma in Education & Training (DET), CTLLS, DTLLS)
  • Must be currently self-employed or in the process of registering as a self-employed professional
  • Must be able to receive emails and phone calls when on location
  • Most experienced and qualified support workers will be selected for interview
