Job Description:

Randstad Student Support seeks experienced one-on-one Study Skills Support Workers to assist students with specific learning difficulties (SpLD) in Dundee. This hybrid role involves flexibility for in-person and online sessions, tailored to student needs.

Job Responsibility:

Developing individual learning plans to foster independence
Building on strengths and effective learning strategies
Enhancing organisation and time management skills
Creating action plans to stay on track
Improving research and comprehension skills

Requirements:

Need to have teaching or tutoring experience
Any in-depth knowledge of learning difficulties that students may have

Nice to have:

Experience of working with clients with specific learning difficulties
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to identify ways of helping students to build on their learning strengths whilst maintaining a confidential and professional working relationship
Punctuality and reliability
Good organisational skills
Relevant professional body memberships: The Professional Association of Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties (PATOSS), British Dyslexia Association (BDA), The Association of Dyslexia Specialists in Higher Education (ADSHE), Dyslexia Guild (DG)
Ability to manage a caseload of students
