Job Description

We're recruiting a Locum GP with a Special Interest in Sexual and Reproductive Health to support a well-established sexual health service in Middlesbrough and the surrounding areas. This flexible locum opportunity is available from 24 June throughout July, with a commitment of 2–3 days per week. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll provide high-quality sexual and reproductive healthcare, helping to improve patient outcomes across the local community.

Job Responsibility

  • Assess, diagnose and manage a wide range of sexual and reproductive health conditions
  • Provide contraception services, including long acting reversible contraception (LARC)
  • Deliver STI testing, diagnosis and treatment
  • Support HIV prevention services, including testing and PrEP where appropriate
  • Deliver patient-centred care in line with national clinical guidelines
  • Work collaboratively with specialist nurses and multidisciplinary colleagues
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to high standards of clinical governance

Requirements

  • Full GMC registration and a licence to practise
  • A special interest or experience in Sexual and Reproductive Health
  • Excellent clinical assessment and communication skills
  • A patient-centred approach to care
  • The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
