Re-assessing existing/planned wind farms with an internal tool chain confirming the compatibility of certain upgrades and the turbine specific structural integrity
This task includes assessment of site-specific wind conditions (Wind & site recheck), application of mechanical load mitigation strategies, running bucket approaches, assessing the possibility for lifetime extension, approval processes and writing reports
Support the upgrades sales by creating benefit calculations, driving validation campaigns and initiate the implementation of upgrades
Work together with our global service regions and our after sales colleagues to convince customers and their stakeholders such as grid operators or authorities and enable a successful product sale
Have a measurable impact on the business performance of the global Service business unit
Build up a large network within the company and the industry to be up to date on new technological developments
Represent the team in strategic discussions and development decision meetings
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Project Management or related field
5 to 10 years of experience in wind & site assessments, mechanical loads department or equal technical service organisations in the wind energy industry
Highly analytical with a holistic approach and strong problem solving skills
Self-driven, focused and pragmatic with demonstrated ability to bring topics to success in a complex environment
