Job Description:

Randstad Education is urgently seeking an exceptional and highly adaptable Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join a supportive school environment in Liverpool. This is a fantastic full-time, long-term opportunity commencing in September. We are looking for an educator with proven expertise in providing a stimulating and inclusive learning experience for students with complex and diverse needs. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting a range of conditions, including Autism, ADHD, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Complex Learning Difficulties (CLD).

Job Responsibility:

  • Curriculum Delivery: Designing and implementing highly differentiated lessons and individual learning plans, specifically following the P Scales curriculum framework
  • Student Support: Building strong, trusting relationships to facilitate academic and personal growth, and utilising creative and resilient teaching strategies to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere
  • Behaviour Management: Employing effective communication and behaviour management skills to promote a focused learning environment
  • Personal Care: Providing compassionate assistance with personal care routines when necessary
  • Schedule: Full-time commitment, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Essential prior experience supporting SEN pupils within UK schools
  • Must possess the legal right to work in the UK (Sponsorship is not available)
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is mandatory, or you must be prepared to obtain a new one immediately
