Job Responsibility
Deliver targeted assistance - partner with specific cohorts or individual learners to provide a reliable foundation for their success
Execute EHCP goals - utilise Education, Health and Care Plans to facilitate customised learning objectives and developmental milestones
Manage behavioural needs - apply uniform techniques to navigate complex behaviours and encourage healthy emotional self-regulation
Foster independence - enhance students' interpersonal skills and self-reliance, guiding them through social exchanges and everyday habits
Engage in teamwork - act as a crucial member of a diverse professional group, including classroom teachers, SENCOs, and visiting specialists
Provide personal care - offer assistance with personal care as needed, maintaining the student's dignity and wellbeing at all times
Requirements
Practical experience assisting learners with SEN (Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or MLD) is a prerequisite
Reliable - seeking a long-term placement where you can become a cornerstone of the school environment
Tenacious and empathetic - capable of staying composed in demanding situations and acting as a dependable mentor for pupils
Effective liaisons - skilled at establishing quick connections with students, colleagues, and families
Qualified - preferably possess a Level 2 or 3 TA qualification or substantial relevant professional history
