We are looking for a motivated, steadfast, and adaptable SEN Teaching Assistant to join our expert academic teams throughout Horsham. Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver targeted assistance with specific cohorts or individual learners
  • Execute EHCP goals to facilitate customised learning objectives and developmental milestones
  • Manage behavioural needs using uniform techniques to navigate complex behaviours and encourage healthy emotional self-regulation
  • Foster independence by enhancing students' interpersonal skills and self-reliance
  • Engage in teamwork as a crucial member of a diverse professional group
  • Provide personal care as needed, maintaining the student's dignity and wellbeing at all times

Requirements:

  • Practical experience assisting learners with SEN (Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or MLD) is a prerequisite
  • Seeking a long-term placement where you can become a cornerstone of the school environment
  • Capable of staying composed in demanding situations and acting as a dependable mentor for pupils
  • Skilled at establishing quick connections with students, colleagues, and families
  • Preferably possess a Level 2 or 3 TA qualification or substantial relevant professional history
