Job Description

In this vital role you will partner with the EPD (External Planning & Delivery) Business Team to advance and automate day-to-day planning and procurement to accelerate strategy and growth. You will also help build long-term roadmaps for the Ariba Supply Chain Collaboration (SCC) and Sub-Contracting modules to onboard Direct Suppliers and Contract Manufacturers(CMO’s). Support designing and maintaining a vision for how technology can be leveraged to tackle critical business problems, understand the impact of technical solutions on business outcomes and ensure growing the value of investments made. You will collaborate and engage with various partners and help in delivering standard methodology solutions based on business requirements.

Job Responsibility

  • Work directly with the supply chain of business SMEs to understand, prioritize, and execute on CMO application rollout
  • Collaboration with SAP, Finance & EPD Business leads for determining the VMstrategy and KPI’s development and refinement
  • Drive continuous improvement in solution performance, reliability, compliance, and efficiency
  • Assure the usage of technical standard processes of S/4 HANA across the Global Supply Chain organization
  • Participate in solution workshops with business partners and process owners
  • Work with Amgen Contract Manufacturer to develop testing approach and plan both SIT and UAT (if both are required)
  • Execute Amgen steps in SIT and UAT testing in coordination with Amgen’s Suppliers
  • Regression testing or other testing support
  • Raise and coordinate resolution of any issues found during testing and manage test status and reporting
  • Conduct enablement related cutover activities, including master data updates needed for deployment
  • Post-Go Live support and transaction monitoring and issue resolution

Requirements

  • 8 to 13 years of Life Science, Biotechnology, Pharmacology, Information Systems experience
  • 4-5 years of experience in an SAP Architect or Analyst role
  • 4-5 years SAP experience in MM/PP including SAP customizing
  • Strong skills in Excel and hands-on experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/SAFe)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional product and engineering teams

Nice to have

  • SAP MM/QM/MDG
  • Ability to work effectively across matrixed organizations and lead collaboration between data and AI teams
  • Passion for technology and customer success, particularly in driving innovative AI and data solutions
  • Experience in services or consulting related to data and AI products is a plus, and familiarity with biotech/pharma is beneficial
  • Working knowledge of integrations suite using API’s or 3rd party integration software like BTP, PI, Talend, MuleSoft, Data Lake and Data Fabrics etc
  • Experience using and adoption of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Understanding of FDA regulations governing computer system validation and operation
  • Familiarity with security requirements and best practices for data at rest and in transit
  • SAP certification in SAP MM/PP or QM
  • Any relevant supply chain specific certifications like APICS (CSCP, CPIM)
  • ITIL, PMP, or Six Sigma certifications are advantageous
