Join our dynamic Safeguarding Team at one of the UK's leading regional children's hospitals. This office-based role (with occasional ward rounds and meetings) offers the chance to make a real impact on the safety and wellbeing of children and adults across our services. You'll be a key source of expertise for health professionals and partner agencies, working collaboratively to strengthen safeguarding practice and improve care outcomes. You'll also help design and deliver specialist safeguarding training across the Trust, alongside the Named Nurse and wider team.
Job Responsibility
Lead and coordinate specialist nursing services across varied settings, ensuring high-quality care in line with Trust policies.
Deliver expert education, training, and support to children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Assess, plan, and implement care programmes for children and young people, communicating effectively with senior nurses and partner agencies.
Collaborate with multi-professional teams to safeguard vulnerable children and adults, driving improvements in health outcomes and care quality.
Requirements
RN Child (RSCN)
Current level 3 safeguarding certificate
Significant Post Registration experience in Paediatrics.
Evidence of working with families where safeguarding concerns have been identified
Knowledge of Holistic Family Centred Care using evidence based practices.
Can demonstrate up to date knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
Ability to provide an appropriate level of support to other professionals
Highly developed communication skills to be able to work effectively across agencies and disciplines at different levels
