As a Specialist-one-to-one Study Skills Support Worker, you will provide learning support and academic guidance. This includes creating an individual learning plan tailored to the student's needs that encourages them to become an independent learner. As a Specialist-one-to-one Study Skills Support Worker, you are required to support students to: Build on strengths and learning strategies; Create strategies around organisation and time management; Create action plans to stay on track with studies; Build on research skills - widening knowledge by using a variety of sources; Build on comprehension skills within reading and writing. We are looking to employ individuals who are really passionate about improving a student's academic journey and strive to provide each student with a high quality level of support. Job Responsibility:

Requirements:
Must be qualified to undergraduate degree level (level 6 as minimum)
Must have a teaching qualification
Must have taken extensive training in adult autism
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to identify ways of helping students to build on their learning strengths whilst maintaining a confidential and professional working relationship
Punctuality and reliability
Good organisational skills
Ability to manage a caseload of students
