Specialist One To One Study Skills Support Worker

• You will provide learning support and academic guidance
• creating an individual learning plan tailored to the student's needs that encourages them to become an independent learner
• Build on strengths and learning strategies
• Create strategies around organisation and time management
• Create action plans to stay on track with studies
• Build on research skills - widening knowledge by using a variety of sources
• Build on comprehension skills within reading and writing

Candidates must be qualified to undergraduate degree level (level 6 as minimum), have a teaching qualification AND have taken extensive training in adult autism.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to identify ways of helping students to build on their learning strengths whilst maintaining a confidential and professional working relationship
• Punctuality and reliability
• Good organisational skills
• Ability to manage a caseload of students
