Job Description
We have an opportunity for a Specialist Nurse - Breast Care to join their team of staff in the Outpatients department. This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Job Responsibility
Act as a clinical expert in cancer pathways, supporting diagnosis, treatment, follow-up and survivorship care
Undertake specialist assessments, contributing to holistic care planning, symptom management and ongoing review
Provide emotional, psychological and practical support to patients and carers throughout the cancer journey
Work closely with Consultants, MDT members, allied health professionals and support services to deliver coordinated care
Ensure practice is compliant with national guidance, professional standards and Circle Health Group policies
Keep up to date with advances in oncology practice, maintaining professional knowledge and skills
Requirements
Registered Nurse (Adult, Child, or Mental Health, depending on specialty) with valid NMC registration
Significant post-registration experience in the relevant specialty area
Demonstrable specialist knowledge and advanced clinical skills within a defined field
Experience working as a Specialist Nurse, Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), or equivalent
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Postgraduate qualification or recognised specialist training in the relevant clinical area
Non-medical prescribing qualification (if applicable to role)
Experience in audit, service improvement, or clinical leadership
Teaching or mentorship qualification
