Job Responsibility

Provide vital one-to-one mentoring to students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and other mental health challenges

Requirements

  • Undergraduate Degree (Level 6 minimum)
  • A recognised Teaching Qualification
  • Extensive Training in Adult Autism, which may include: Option 1: 6 National Autistic Society Modules (Non-Medical Helper package). The modules cover Understanding Autism, Communication, Sensory Experience, Stress and Anxiety, Supporting Families, and Autism and Girls. OR Option 2: The Optimum Training Course focusing on Autism and ADHD in Higher Education

Nice to have

  • Proven experience working with autistic clients
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to effectively manage a caseload of students
  • A track record of punctuality, reliability, and professional conduct
  • Ability to confidentially identify and leverage a student's learning strengths
