Job Description

Randstad Student Support is seeking compassionate and highly skilled Specialist Mentors to make a profound impact on the lives of students in Cornwall. This rewarding role, starting September 2025, combines in-person and online support, empowering students with disabilities or mental health conditions to thrive academically and personally. As a Specialist Mentor, you will play a pivotal role in guiding students towards independence and success.

Job Responsibility

  • provide individualized academic and well-being support to students
  • assisting with time management, organization, stress reduction techniques, and confidence building
  • maintain detailed records
  • adhere to the DfE framework for DSA-funded students
  • foster a supportive and confidential environment

Requirements

  • Registered with BACP, BPS, HCPC, NCPS, NMC, SWE, SCW, UMHAN, or COSCA
  • Demonstrated experience supporting students with mental health needs or disabilities
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
