Job Description:

The Specialist, Labor Relations is a HR professional responsible for managing and maintaining constructive relationships between the organization and its workforce. This role requires in-depth knowledge of labor laws, negotiation strategies, conflict resolution, and employee relations best practices.

Job Responsibility:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between management and employee
  • Advise managers and HR partners on labor relations strategy, legal compliance, and issue resolution
  • Investigate complex employee grievances or disputes and recommend appropriate action
  • Develop and implement labor relations policies, programs, and training to promote a positive and compliant work environment
  • Monitor labor law developments and ensure organizational policies are aligned with current legal standards
  • Support the resolution of disciplinary actions, terminations, and workforce restructuring from a labor relations perspective
  • Foster proactive employee engagement to minimize disputes and improve employee satisfaction

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Law, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in labor/employee relations or HR
  • Strong understanding of labor law
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive issues with discretion and diplomacy
  • Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic, and complex organizational environments
  • Experience in BPO +3yrs
  • Bilingual English/Spanish

  • Monitor and address sensitive or controversial employment topics within the U.S. framework, maintaining transparent communication with employees and management
  • Provide guidance to management on employment matters and address inquiries specifically related to U.S. labor laws, union relations, and workplace policies
  • Address employee queries regarding U.S. labor-related issues, including benefits, working hours, wage laws, and workplace conditions
  • Work closely with the legal team to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations and resolve policy-related issues
  • Create and maintain accurate records of labor-related documents, such as employment agreements, collective bargaining agreements, and internal policies specific to U.S. employment law
  • Ensure all documentation complies with applicable federal and state labor regulations and remains up to date
