Job Description

To support the IT Network Infrastructure, maintains it and manages its evolution.

Job Responsibility

  • Ensures the Network infrastructure and services are running optimally and securely
  • Configures, tests, and deploys Network elements such as routers, switches etc
  • Network troubleshooting and fault analysis
  • hardware troubleshooting and repair
  • Application of configuration changes via our change control systems and processes
  • Deployment and maintenance of network monitoring, analysis and reporting tools
  • Day-to-day network performance monitoring
  • Supports and maintains Load balancers
  • Supports and maintains Access Control System
  • Support and maintenance of CCTV
  • Patches network vulnerabilities to ensure information is safeguarded against outside parties
  • Documents the design, update changes and processes

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent in IT/Engineering or relevant tertiary qualification
  • Cyber Security Certification
  • Fortinet Certified Professional: Security Operations Certification
  • At least 2 years or more working within a Telecommunication Sector
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles
  • Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies
  • Ability to operate network equipment including hubs, routers, switches, bridges, servers, transmission media, and related hardware
  • Knowledge of communication methods, principles, and concepts (e.g., crypto, dual hubs, time multiplexers) that support the network infrastructure
