The HRIS Specialist reports to the Director of Human Resources and is responsible for administering, maintaining, and continuously improving the Boulder Valley School District’s Human Resources Management Systems (HRMS), including the district ERP system. This role ensures data integrity, efficient system processes, and effective integration and reporting across HR, Payroll, Finance, and Benefits. The position ensures data integrity and system reliability and serves as a technical and functional liaison between Human Resources and internal and external partners and supports data management, reporting, compliance, and system enhancements that drive efficiency and inform strategic decision-making.
Job Responsibility:
Oversees and manages all systems, data functions, and process solutions for BVSD's Human Resources Management Systems (HRMS) utilizing the Enterprise Resource Planning system
Responsible for the support of HRMS clients, ensuring the ongoing operations, maintenance, and improvement of the HRMS systems and the various interfaces to other systems
Collaborates and communicates with a variety of internal and external customers, including schools, Accounting, Finance, Payroll, IT, Benefits, Employees and various vendor and business providers
Manages HR reporting processes for internal and external customers, including state reporting
Develops and expands district electronic capacity for HR, personnel, and benefit information capacity, including on-boarding and evaluation processes, personnel records, and document management
Develops HR information reports, statistical analysis, and census data for actuaries, insurance carriers, bargaining units, Board, HR, employees, etc., using SQL, Tableau, and the Enterprise Resource Planning System
Develop HRIS systems training
develop procedures, guidelines and documentation
create training tools and train new system users
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
Minimum of five years experience in: HRIS, Human Resources
Complete and submitted BVSD online application
Communicate (read, write, and speak) in English
Nice to have:
Advanced knowledge of SQL, MS Office
Ability to learn new computer systems and software
