Activision Blizzard is seeking to fill the position of Specialist, Health and Safety (EMEA). In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day health and safety compliance across our offices and studio spaces in Poland, ensuring adherence to all applicable local regulations while also supporting our broader EMEA locations. As a subject matter expert, you will provide guidance and support across assigned company locations, large-scale events, and a variety of health and safety initiatives and projects. This role may require approximately 5% of travel to support other studio locations and events.
Job Responsibility:
Implement, monitor, and continuously improve health and safety programs in alignment with local requirements and company standards
Maintain the H&S legal compliance digital system
Conduct H&S audits and inspections to identify and mitigate hazards and track actions until completion
Maintain H&S related documentation, records, and reports to ensure compliance
Carry out Risk Assessments and update existing ones
Ensure the Emergency Plan and H&S Policy are updated
Provide support in maintaining the Health & Safety training program and deliver all required local H&S training
Ensure all workplace accidents, incidents and near misses are recorded, investigated and that appropriate corrective / preventive actions are put in place
Oversee the ergonomic program and assessments for the office and the studio staff, recommending adjustments and equipment
Coordinate fire drills and ensure emergency equipment (AEDs, fire extinguishers, first aid kits, etc) are inspected and maintained
Partner with local vendors to coordinate first aid and fire warden training
Develop and maintain a robust, cooperative relationship with the Facilities and studio teams
Coordinate employee consultation and engagement on Health & Safety topics, promoting participation and compliance with local requirements
Keep up to date with new and revised legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health & Safety legislation which may affect the industry
Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in occupational health & safety, preferably in office, studio, or entertainment environments
Relevant experience complying with local Health and Safety legislation in Poland
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field
Formal Health & Safety qualification recognized in Poland
Knowledge of Polish Health & Safety law and regulations
Knowledge of best practices in safety concepts, standards, policies, and procedures
Effective management, communication, technical writing, presentation development, and organizational skills
Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual and stressful circumstances
Strong customer service and service delivery
Demonstrated integrity, honesty, poise, tact, and diplomacy
Proven ability to build strong partnerships and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders, including Legal, HR, Facilities, and Leadership
Strong written and verbal communication skills in Polish and English
Nice to have:
Corporate Health & Safety experience, ideally within the video game, technology, or creative media industries
Membership in professional organizations such as IOSH or ASSP
