Job Description:

A skilled professional who prepares and finishes premium furniture using both powder coating and wet-lacquering techniques. Ensures flawless surfaces, precise color matching, and perfect gloss, working on high-end designer pieces. Strong focus on craftsmanship, attention to detail, and quality control in a clean, controlled environment.

Requirements:

  • An education at mid-level, preferably in shipbuilding
  • Possession of a valid VCA or VCA-Vol certificate
  • Must be able to communicate with the employee in Dutch or English
  • Demonstrable work experience as a Ship Metal Worker
  • Experience with reading drawings, measuring and marking
  • Experience with tack welding, grinding and burning
  • Experience with spray finishing techniques, including powder coating and wet-lacquering
  • Surface preparation: sanding, degreasing, filling, and masking
  • Finishing and polishing: inter-layer sanding, buffing, and gloss control
  • Color and gloss accuracy: precise color matching and finishing on high-end furniture
  • Material knowledge: working with wood, metal frames, and combinations
  • Operate spray booths, powder coating equipment, and curing ovens
  • Maintain and clean equipment properly
  • Work according to safety regulations in a dust-free environment
  • Attention to detail and precision

  • MBO level 2–4 (or equivalent) in furniture technology, spraying, lacquering, or similar

Nice to have:

  • Additional courses in powder coating, HVLP spraying, or wet-lacquering are a plus
  • Experience with high-end or designer furniture is a strong advantage
  • Familiarity with RAL/Pantone colors and special finishes
  • Patience and precision to meet strict quality standards
