Job Description

To support the Data centre network division in the provision of end to end network support and services delivery for Packet Switched Core, Circuit Switched Core, Radio Access Network and Enterprise business.

Job Responsibility

  • Team lead in Core Network datacentre solutions and services
  • Build datacentre core services budgets for management
  • Liaise with suppliers on new technologies and equipment in accordance with set SLAs
  • Create SLAs and OLAs for Core datacentre infrastructure
  • Management review of Vodafone STEP program
  • Deploy best fit architecture for Core datacentre services to meet TechComs2025 strategy
  • Ensure proper running of Data Services, Security adherence and National & International Transit
  • Ensure deployment of Network Security perimeter zones
  • Ensure hardware and software upgrades are implemented according to security patch & S/W management policies
  • Compile network security reports and resolve findings
  • Day to day network performance and security monitoring

Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in IP Core & Datacentre Networks
  • Bachelors’ Degree Computer Engineering and/or equivalent
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional – Data Centre
  • Implementing Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional CCNP
  • CISCO Application Centric Infrastructure
  • Understanding of virtual and cloud technologies.
  • Understanding of Open source tools
  • Understanding of telecommunication systems
  • Solid understanding of OSI Model
  • Solid understanding of the TCP/IP stack
  • Project management skills
