Job Responsibility:

  • Support and/or lead the negotiation of multi-million dollar cross border agreements related to the sale of private jets for special missions
  • Draft and negotiate agreements such as aircraft purchase agreements, data license agreements, engineering services agreements, and aircraft modification agreements
  • Support aircraft delivery objectives by providing ongoing commercial and/or legal support
  • Drive business results by anticipating risks and initiating creative and effective mitigation plans
  • Engage with management to raise unresolved contractual risks
  • Initiate correspondence to customers, including invoices, and ensure appropriate follow-up
  • Contribute to process improvement and governance activities
  • Travel internationally

Requirements:

  • Proven experience or knowledge of the aviation and/or defense industry
  • Knowledge of U.S. government Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARs)
  • University degree in law or business
  • At least ten to fifteen (10-15) years’ experience working in a law firm or a large corporation
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the negotiation of commercial transactions and drafting of commercial agreements
  • Strong drafting skills in English
  • Ability to work flexibly, extended and/or irregular working hours
  • Ability to travel on short notice
  • Bilingual in French and English
