Job Description:

The Conferencing and Events Specialist plans, coordinates and the implements conferences, events and other programs held at Eastern Kentucky University.

Job Responsibility:

  • Coordinates event logistics, which includes but is not limited to, contacting vendors, scheduling, preparing contracts and work orders, monitoring the event budget, providing staff, and marketing the event
  • Liaisons for the administration of events by conducting pre-event counseling with clients, ensuring ongoing communication regarding the event status, and completing post-event activities as needed
  • Ensures the effective operations of Conferencing & Events by completing other duties as assigned
  • Oversees special university projects as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Two years of directly related experience is required
  • Experience must include large event planning and knowledge of collegiate event scheduling
