Job Responsibility

  • Crisis De-escalation: Confidently manage heightened behaviour using proven PMVA techniques
  • Trauma-Informed Care: Look past the behaviour to understand the 'why,' building a foundation of trust
  • Holistic Guidance: Oversee daily activities, manage healthcare appointments, and support family contact
  • Clinical Reporting: Deliver precise incident logs and behavioural insights to shape future care plans

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of paid UK experience in children's residential or crisis support settings
  • Proven ability to de-escalate aggression, self-harm, or destructive behaviours calmly and without judgement
  • A strict understanding of professional boundaries and safe-touch protocols
  • PMVA training is highly desirable (training can be provided for the right candidate)
  • Resilience: The mental stamina to remain a calm, consistent anchor during stressful shifts
  • Observation: A sharp eye for micro-changes in a young person's mood or behaviours
  • Compliance: An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
  • Mobility: A full UK Driving Licence with business insurance is highly preferred
