SPECIALIST CARE SUPPORT WORKERS- ADULTS LEARNING DISABILITY, COMPLEX NEEDS. Would you like to be part of something new? Are you a passionate and skilled Support Worker who is ready for their next opportunity to help make the difference to vulnerable people with learning disability, autism, complex needs? Join a brand new service in Knowsley, where support will be required 24/7 to ensure the highest quality of care and support is provided at all times to individual with complex care needs/autism.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide personalised care and support to an individual with complex care needs and autism on a 3:1 basis
  • Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, medication administration
  • Work with support and care plans tailored to each individual's specific requirements, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Work with the team to deliver the things that are important to the people we support
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with organisational policies and legal requirements
  • Adhere to all health and safety protocols, safeguarding policies, and confidentiality standards
  • Flexibility to work on a rota including days and nights shifts, 12 hour shifts. 36 hours per week

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Support Worker within a complex or specialist care setting is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues
  • Ability to work flexibly, including shifts, weekends, and unsociable hours if required
  • Ability to support people in ways consistent with their rights, choices and responsibilities
  • A positive attitude to people with complex physical, learning disabilities and / or mental health problems
  • Good verbal communication skills and ability to listen sensitively to others
  • Written English skills, with an ability to contribute accurately to record keeping
  • Car drivers with access to your own vehicle
