SPECIALIST CARE SUPPORT WORKERS- ADULTS LEARNING DISABILITY, COMPLEX NEEDS. Would you like to be part of something new? Are you a passionate and skilled Support Worker who is ready for their next opportunity to help make the difference to vulnerable people with learning disability, autism, complex needs? If so and you have experience of working as a Support Worker supporting those with complex care needs we would like to hear from you! Join a brand new service in Knowsley, where support will be required 24/7 to ensure the highest quality of care and support is provided at all times to individual with complex care needs/autism. Job Responsibility:

  • Provide personalised care and support to an individual with complex care needs and autism on a 3:1 basis
  • Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, medication administration
  • Work with support and care plans tailored to each individual's specific requirements, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Work with the team to deliver the things that are important to the people we support
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with organisational policies and legal requirements
  • Adhere to all health and safety protocols, safeguarding policies, and confidentiality standards
  • Flexibility to work on a rota including days and nights shifts, 12 hour shifts

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Support Worker within a complex or specialist care setting is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues
  • Ability to work flexibly, including shifts, weekends, and unsociable hours if required
  • Ability to support people in ways consistent with their rights, choices and responsibilities
  • A positive attitude to people with complex physical, learning disabilities and / or mental health problems
  • Good verbal communication skills and ability to listen sensitively to others
  • Written English skills, with an ability to contribute accurately to record keeping
  • Car drivers with access to your own vehicle
