Are you an expert in personnel security with a knack for designing robust integrity frameworks? We are seeking a Specialist Advisor to lead the development and implementation of a contemporary employee suitability framework. This is a high-impact role within a Federal Government Agency, focused on safeguarding the workforce lifecycle—from pre-employment screening to ongoing risk monitoring.

Job Responsibility:

  • Framework Design: Lead the design and implementation of risk-based suitability and personnel security policies aligned with the PSPF
  • Expert Advisory: Provide authoritative advice on complex workforce cases, vetting principles, and risk mitigations
  • Program Delivery: Strengthen pre-employment screening and integrate integrity triggers into recruitment and system workflows
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with Cyber, Fraud, Legal, and Risk teams to drive a culture of integrity and ethical behavior
  • Governance: Identify high-risk roles and maintain registers that link positions to specific suitability expectations

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in vetting, suitability assessment, or personnel security
  • Proven ability to apply PSPF requirements to workforce lifecycle processes
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex personal information and make defensible, risk-based decisions
  • Exceptional written skills for preparing executive briefings and structured decision records
  • Experience leading reforms or governance uplift activities in a sensitive environment
