We are looking for a motivated actuary to join the North America Excess Casualty Insurance Pricing & Analytics team. You will support the Casualty pricing for our Multinational Solutions portfolio. Your main responsibilities will be large, complex account pricing as well as metrics monitoring. The primary role location is in Exton, PA, USA but can be open to candidates local to one of our other east cost offices.
Job Responsibility:
Primary & Excess Casualty Account Pricing: Utilize various actuarial pricing tools and expertise to produce accurate, timely, and comprehensive account-specific pricing guidance
Pricing tool data collection oversight, analysis, quality checking, and reporting
Adhere to and comply with regulatory standards and organizational policies
Builds robust stakeholder relationships and is dedicated to understanding and meeting their needs
Provide specialized training to underwriters on pricing matters
Leverage new technologies and analytical tools to improve pricing models and processes
Engage closely with teams for pricing accuracy and operational alignment including but not limited to: Governance, CUO, Underwriting, Reserving, Claims, Models & Analytics, IT, Compliance, etc
Support the development, testing, calibration, and maintenance of pricing models and complex rating algorithms
Conduct micro portfolio management activities including selection of base loss ratio for business planning, profitability studies & deep dives, dashboard maintenance, and post-event loss evaluations
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Applied Math, Statistics, or related field
Qualified actuary through the Casualty Actuarial Society
Material experience in Property & Casualty actuarial pricing or reserving
Motivated, strategic thinker with a robust collaborative work ethic and a focus on quality and integrity
Advanced in and significant experience in Excel
Legally authorized to work in the posting country
Nice to have:
Coding proficiency in languages such as Python, R, and SQL, used for data analysis, developing tools, and automating processes
Exceptional problem-solving, analytical abilities, and attention to detail
