Job Description

The position holder, together with the Senior Specialist Accounting, is responsible for the following tasks. In total, 7 legal entities are supported.

Job Responsibility

  • Preparation and publication of local annual financial statements for the German and Austrian entities in accordance with the respective legal requirements
  • Independent management of the general ledgers under local GAAP (HGB and UGB) for Germany and Austria
  • Coordination and support of external auditors as well as active participation in annual audit processes
  • Contribution to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual group financial statements in accordance with IFRS
  • Close cooperation with the (European) Controlling teams, the local Tax department, and the global functions for Tax, Treasury, and Accounting
  • Acting as a technical contact person for the Business Service Center regarding accounting and financial reporting matters
  • Preparation and timely submission of external reports (e.g., statistical reports, filings to authorities, banks, and institutions)

Requirements

  • Completed commercial vocational training
  • Successfully completed advanced training as Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK) or a comparable qualification
  • Professional experience (approx. 3–5 years)
  • Solid knowledge of commercial and tax law
  • Experience in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB and UGB
  • Knowledge of accounting in international companies (IFRS)
  • Basic understanding of business and economic processes
  • Confident user of SAP
  • Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel and Word
  • Good written and spoken English skills
