Job Description:

This Care Worker role involves delivering holistic care to guests in HammondCare’s Overnight Respite Cottage in Goulburn, ensuring they enjoy a relaxing environment with support tailored to their care plans, including personal grooming, medication supervision, and social engagement. HammondCare is an organization specializing in aged care, dementia care, and related health services.

Job Responsibility:

Deliver care within our Overnight Respite Cottage in Goulburn
Support and look after Guests during their longer stays or short overnight visits
Provide a relaxing environment for older people to take a break from their home environment
Provide personal care (assisting with personal grooming)
Supervise medication
Provide specialised care according to each client’s care plan
Offer social support
Ensure Guests enjoy benefits of residential care, including specialised clinical care, support with daily tasks, social activities, and fresh meals.

Requirements:

No formal qualification is necessary, however, Certificate III Individual Support is an advantage
First Aid certificate desirable
Empathy and compassion are a must
We provide job training as long as you have the willingness and desire to learn
Good administrative and computer skills, including the use of a smartphone
A strong team player, who can communicate professionally changes in care, complete all documentation, whilst maintaining confidentiality.

Nice to have:

Certificate III Individual Support
