Job Description

HammondCare Wahroonga is currently looking for several Perm, Part-Time Specialised Carers to join our team. We have AM and PM rosters available. Our cottages provides current, evidence-based and personalised dementia-focused care to our elderly residents. We have modelled our cottages to feel like ‘home’ for the residents in our care.

Job Responsibility

  • Personal care – showering, grooming, toileting, dressing, pad changes
  • Domestic assistance - meals, basic cleaning and laundry
  • Engagement with the residents, ensuring they are involved in the activities they WANT to do
  • Recognise, report and respond appropriately to changes in the behaviours & conditions of residents within your skills and competencies

Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 1 year experience in Aged Care/Dementia Care
  • Have knowledge of complex dementia care including challenging behaviours
  • Be flexible and able to commit to a range of shifts including nights & weekends
  • Have knowledge & experience of people living with Dementia & their needs
  • Applicants with Cert lll or Cert lV in Aged Care would be viewed favourably
