Job Description

HammondCare Woy Woy is currently hiring Permanent, Part-Time Specialised Dementia Carers to join our team. With our unique model of care which places the residents needs as your number one priority, you will help create a home away from home for our residents. The care you will provide will be person-centred, and relationship-focused, with the understanding that each individual is unique.

Job Responsibility

  • Meal preparation and laundry - cooking, washing clothes, food preparation and safe storage
  • Personal care – showering, grooming, toileting etc
  • Provide life engagement and interaction with other staff and families
  • Recognise, report and respond appropriately to changes in the conditions of residents

Requirements

  • Have a genuine passion for serving elderly people & improving quality of life
  • Have knowledge & experience of people living with Dementia & their needs
  • Be flexible and able to commit to a range of shifts including Weekday availability (PM – 1430-2115, AM 8.30-1630, 11-7) and Weekend availability (including the above + AM shift 0645-1445) – Fri-Sun
  • Value teamwork, autonomy and sharing knowledge
  • Cert lll or Cert lV in Aged Care or be studying towards a healthcare related degree would be viewed favourably
