As a Special Projects Senior Project Manager, you'll lead and drive a portfolio of lower-value special projects or high-value/high-risk/sensitive projects for the client. These projects typically involve data centres and hospital environments. Within these environments, you'll be responsible for bringing connections into new or existing builds and establishing whole new networks. This may include installing switchboards, generators, ring mains, and ensuring protection, earthing, and external structural design compliance.
Job Responsibility:
Support clients' Special Projects Manager in strategic objectives
Represent client professionally to stakeholders
Ensure safe and responsible delivery of all projects
Proactively manage risk and change
Achieve project financial goals
Maintain project documentation and compliance with the company's BMS
Act as a mentor to project resources as needed
Undertake project-specific SHEQ tours and maintain CPD strategy
Requirements:
Leadership and team management experience
Management experience with complex high-value projects
NVQ Level 4 qualification in engineering, construction, or management
5 years' experience in technically complex electrical or mechanical projects
Understanding of CDM Regulations 2015 and IOSH Managing Safely
Sales or estimating experience in high voltage electrical networks
Project management experience with formal construction contracts
Competent with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project
Relevant certifications like SSTS/SMSTS, EUSR/CSCS/ECS, and First Aid at Work
Nice to have:
Membership in relevant professional bodies like MIET
Experience in technical construction sales and estimating
Knowledge of Trimble or equivalent tools
Project management experience or certification (APM/PMI/Prince)
Familiarity with working within a technical construction team
Understanding of CDM Regulations 2015 for construction projects
