Job Description

As an SEN TA, you will: Offer one-to-one and small group support to children with various needs, such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech and language difficulties. Help carry out Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Work with the class teacher and SENCO to provide personalised learning. Encourage students to develop confidence, social skills, and emotional control. Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning space.

Job Responsibility

Requirements

  • Experience with children with SEN (either in a school or care environment)
  • A patient, nurturing, and flexible attitude
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or the willingness to apply for one)
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE, Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are a plus
