Are you enthusiastic about supporting the mental health and well-being of children and young people? Do you have experience supporting young people with severe learning disabilities, including Autism? ... In recent years there is a massive focus on supporting the mental health and SEN needs of pupils in mainstream and SEN schools. Affinity Workforce Solutions are currently seeking practitioners to support these pupils on a 1:1 or general classroom basis to start ASAP, for the rest of the Academic Year in a range of schools across New Malden and areas of Surrey (with an option of progressing onto contract with the right school). As a Special needs teaching assistant/Youth Mental health Support Worker/Autism Support Worker, you will be involved in not only supporting pupils within the classroom but will also be comfortable with running activities with the pupil/s outside the classroom as well. Alongside the class teacher, you will also provide support with ensuring the right support is in place for the students. The client that Affinity Workforce Solutions are working with are keen to ‘work together to transform lives and across the whole organisation we have a range experts and practitioner who advocate for children and young people with SEND to ensure they receive the best possible opportunities to achieve their full potential’. This position is on a full-time basis and full support, and guidance will be given. There will also be opportunities to complete additional training whilst in the role. Pay is £92.59-£124 per day, based on experience. This would be a great opportunity for someone that has experience supporting pupils in school or an alternative setting, but we will also be considering people without this experience.
Job Responsibility:
