We are currently recruiting Special Needs Teaching Assistants to work on a full-time and part-time basis, supporting students with SEND needs in EYFS and Primary Schools. Opportunities involve supporting children and young people with a range of learning and development needs including Autism, PMLD and Behavioural Needs (SEMH).
Job Responsibility:
Supporting students with SEND needs across a range of learning and development activities
Building relationships quickly
Establishing routines with a consistent approach
Communicating clearly in suitable ways
Integrating pupil’s interests
Providing personal care support including feeding and physical support
Supporting developmental activities
Supporting students to develop day to day and academic skills
Building students' self-esteem and helping regulate emotions
Requirements:
Enhanced DBS certificate to work with children
2 references covering the past two years
Caring, dedicated and professional approach to working with young children with special educational needs
Nice to have:
Understanding of SEN
Experience supporting children or adults in a care setting
Experience as a Teaching Assistant, Healthcare/social care worker, Youth worker, or Community support worker
