Job Description:

A Warm and welcoming part-residential specialist school seeking a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join their team starting September 2024. The school supports learners between the ages of 5 and 19 years with complex needs including Autism, Asperger's and more. The curriculum includes outdoor activities and creative strategies focusing on child development.

Job Responsibility:

Supporting SEN learners on a 1:1, small group and classroom basis
Communicating with parents and carers over pupils' progress
Participating in departmental meetings, parents' evenings and whole school training events

Requirements:

Flexible, resilient and have a positive approach to supporting learners with SEN
GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
Eligibility to work in the UK

Nice to have:

Direct SEN experience
Ability to progress to senior teaching assistant or skill development in other areas
