A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Haringey is seeking a mature, resilient, and highly experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This rewarding role will involve providing tailored 1:1 support for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), alongside delivering targeted interventions to support pupils' academic, social, and communication development. The Role As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will provide dedicated support to pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them access learning, develop independence, and achieve their individual targets. Morning Responsibilities Sessions 1 & 2 Provide 1:1 support for a Year 6 pupil with an EHCP. Support language development and learning needs associated with dyslexia. Adapt learning activities and resources to maximise engagement and progress. Session 3 Support a Year 3 pupil with an EHCP and a range of additional needs, including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Noonan syndrome, speech and language difficulties, and dyspraxia. Implement personalised strategies to support learning, communication, and emotional regulation. Afternoon Responsibilities Deliver targeted intervention programmes to support academic progress, communication skills, and social development. Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff to inform future planning and support. Work effectively alongside class teachers, the SENDCo, and external professionals. Use strong behaviour management strategies to support pupils with complex needs. Work confidently and independently on a 1:1 basis.
