Randstad Education is actively searching for a high-calibre, intuitive, and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant for a distinguished educational setting in Liverpool. Job Responsibility:
Provide essential direct support, both one-on-one and in small configurations, to students with a spectrum of special educational needs
Work collaboratively with the main class educator to effectively execute and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Help cultivate and sustain a positive, structured, and fully inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning
Assist in preparing teaching resources and meticulously track and report on student progress and developmental milestones
Act as a critical guiding figure, assisting students in navigating towards and achieving their academic and personal objectives
Requirements:
A mandatory minimum of six months of previous experience operating as an SEN Teaching Assistant or similar support role within a UK school system
Display a resilient, immensely patient, and proactive approach to engaging with and supporting learners who have SEN
Possess exemplary communication skills, proven capability in team collaboration, and robust organisational abilities
Must hold an active Enhanced DBS check, or be willing to submit an application for one without delay
Practical familiarity with various complex SEN categories (e.g., ASD, SEMH, MLD) is highly advantageous
