Special Needs Teaching Assistant

• Provide essential direct support, both one-on-one and in small configurations, to students with a spectrum of special educational needs
• Work collaboratively with the main class educator to effectively execute and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
• Help cultivate and sustain a positive, structured, and fully inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning
• Assist in preparing teaching resources and meticulously track and report on student progress and developmental milestones
• Act as a critical guiding figure, assisting students in navigating towards and achieving their academic and personal objectives

• A mandatory minimum of six months of previous experience operating as an SEN Teaching Assistant or similar support role within a UK school system
• Display a resilient, immensely patient, and proactive approach to engaging with and supporting learners who have SEN
• Possess exemplary communication skills, proven capability in team collaboration, and robust organisational abilities
• Must hold an active Enhanced DBS check, or be willing to submit an application for one without delay
• Practical familiarity with various complex SEN categories (e.g., ASD, SEMH, MLD) is highly advantageous
