This warm and welcoming school supports pupils aged 4 to 19 years who have Autism and/or associated conditions. The school is fully subscribed and needs a resilient, committed, and dedicated teacher to lead a small class of 6-8 learners. You will be supporting some of the most profound Autistic learners, who may never acquire spoken language, require constant support, and thrive with dedicated, expert care. This environment is highly rewarding, focusing on promoting effective, independent learning.

Job Responsibility

  • Leading and teaching a class of 6-8 SEN learners
  • Delivering an individualised curriculum focused on promoting the ability to learn in new ways
  • Communicating with parents and carers over pupils' progress
  • Participating in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and whole school training events

Requirements

  • Teaching Qualification (QTS or equivalent)
  • UK-based teaching experience
